The Spanish League has settled on a new date for the Real Madrid vs Valencia match at Mestalla Stadium, which was postponed from round 12.
The match was supposed to be played last November, but the floods that hit the Valencia region caused the match to be postponed.
It was previously said that the match would be played in January, but the day was not specified due to the disagreement between Real Madrid and Valencia over the matter.
According to an official statement, La Liga responded to Valencia’s demands and decided to play the match on January 2 instead of January 5 (the date Real Madrid wanted).
The match will kick off at 9 pm Cairo time, 10 pm Mecca time at Mestalla Stadium, the home of the “Bats”.
La Liga’s decision came due to the desire to hold the matches of the round of 32 of the Spanish King’s Cup on January 5, which means that Real Madrid will play two matches before traveling to Saudi Arabia to play the Super Cup.
Real Madrid will play Mallorca in the Super Cup semi-final on January 9.
Real Madrid is second in La Liga with 33 points, while Valencia is in the penultimate place with only 10 points.
