Real Madrid’s Firm Stance on Al-Ahli’s Offer for Vinicius Jr.

Marca has revealed how Real Madrid responded to the massive offer received by Vinicius Jr from the Saudi Arabian league in recent days.

Media reports indicated that Al-Ahli Jeddah attempted to sign Vinicius and offered him the highest salary in football history, amounting to €1 billion spread over 5 years.

Given that the player’s contract extends until the summer of 2027 at the Santiago Bernabéu, Al-Ahli would need to pay a fee to Real Madrid to release the player.

Although Al-Ahli’s offer could have reached €200 million or more, Real Madrid’s response was firm: If they want Vinicius, they must pay the release clause in his contract.

Vinicius’s release clause is set at €1 billion, a figure that is not expected to be paid by Al-Ahli or any other club, regardless of the player’s name and achievements on the field.

In the same context, Marca expects Real Madrid’s management to take action within days to renew Vinicius Jr’s contract to ensure his continuity and offer him a salary increase.

The Brazilian international currently earns €20 million per year with Real Madrid, and his salary may increase slightly to become the highest, even surpassing Kylian Mbappé.

It is worth noting that Vinicius himself has rejected the idea of moving to the Saudi league, despite the lucrative offer, and remains committed to staying with Real Madrid.
