Alphonso Davies will not be joining Real Madrid this summer, but all signs point to him donning the royal white shirt starting from the 2025-2026 season.
Bayern Munich has announced that they will not let go of their Canadian full-back this summer unless they receive a generous offer, otherwise, the player will continue at the Allianz Arena until he leaves for free in the summer of 2025.
According to AS, Real Madrid is not willing to pay more than €35 million to sign Davies this summer, while Bayern Munich wants at least €50 million.
As a result of the failed negotiations between the two clubs, Real Madrid decided to follow the same policy it followed with Kylian Mbappé, which is to be patient until the end of Davies’ contract next summer and sign him for free.
The 23-year-old will be the biggest beneficiary of this free transfer, as he will receive a high transfer bonus, and his salary will be higher than the salary currently offered to him by Bayern Munich.
Sky Sports reported that Bayern Munich offered Davies €14 million annually, while the player wants to earn €20 million annually to stay with the Bavarian giant.
