Egyptian media reported that CAF has settled on a Libyan referee to manage the Al-Ahly and Zamalek match in the African Super Cup.
The two giants of Egyptian football will meet at the King Abdullah Sports City in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on Friday, September 27, in their second historic encounter in the African Super Cup.
According to reports, the referee for the Al-Ahly and Zamalek match will be Libyan Moataz Ibrahim, assisted by his compatriot Attia Amsad, and Tunisian Khalil Al-Hassani, while Somali Abdul Qader Artan will serve as the fourth referee.
The South African referee Tom Abongile will be present on video technology, assisted by Moroccan referee Zakaria Brinsi.
CAF is expected to officially announce this choice in the coming hours.
Moataz Ibrahim has a long career and has previously managed top matches in Africa, and he is accepted by both clubs as he has no controversial history in their matches.
