Milan was crowned the Italian Super Cup 2025 champion after defeating its neighbor Inter 3-2 in the final match at the First Park Stadium in Riyadh.
Inter took the lead with two goals through Lisandro Martinez and Mehdi Taremi, and everyone thought that the match was over in favor of the Nerazzurri.
But for the second match in a row, Milan was able to come back from behind, score 3 goals and win the title.
The first was through Theo Hernandez in the 52nd minute, then Christian Pulisic equalized for the Rossoneri in the 80th minute.
At the last moment, specifically the 93rd minute, Tammy Abraham scored the precious winning goal, leading Milan to its eighth historical title in the Super Cup.
Milan had fallen behind by a goal against Juventus, then came back with two goals in the last moments as well, thus reaching the final match.
This victory is also considered revenge for Milan against its neighbor, as it lost in the final of last year’s edition to Inter 3-0 in Saudi Arabia as well.
It remains to be noted that this is the first title achieved by Sergio Conceicao as coach of Milan, a few days after taking over the leadership of the Rossoneri, succeeding the dismissed Paulo Fonseca.
