Reports have spread across Arab media outlets in the past hours indicating that Achraf Bencharki will not move to Zamalek during the current summer Mercato.
The White Castle has intensified its negotiations with the Moroccan international in recent weeks to return to the Egyptian League, and it was said that an agreement was looming between the two parties.
The biggest difference between Bencharki and Zamalek was the method of paying the advance contract, as well as the salary, as the player demanded $1.3 million annually, while receiving a large advance payment that is not in line with the severe economic crisis in the White Club.
But according to recent news, Bencharki will not join Zamalek after receiving an offer from his former club Al Rayyan, and another from Al Shamal Club to continue in the Qatari League.
Bencharki played last season for Al Rayyan after a previous experience with Al Jazira in the Emirates, and it seems that his priority is to continue in the Gulf and not return to Egypt again.
The new Qatari offer for Bencharki was generous financially, on the one hand, and on the other hand, the player tends to stay in Qatar or the Gulf in general rather than return to Egypt, which makes it logical for him to be far from returning again to Zamalek.
