In the last few hours, Egyptian media outlets have circulated news about Omar Marmoush’s transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt to Manchester City.
“Youm7” newspaper confirmed that Manchester City will pay 50 million euros to sign the Egyptian star, who in turn agreed to the English club’s offer and signed his transfer contracts to the Etihad Stadium on Friday.
So far, no foreign source has confirmed or denied the news.
The only relevant news came from the “Foot Mercato” network, which stated that Manchester City has already submitted an official offer to Eintracht Frankfurt to buy Marmoush.
As for the player, he has contacted the City management, and he seems very excited to have a new experience with Pep Guardiola’s squad for the first time in the Premier League.
Marmoush’s contract with Frankfurt extends until the summer of 2027, and the German club was recently trying to renew it for another year with doubling his salary so that the Egyptian will remain with them until the end of the season.
The Daily Mail previously reported City’s interest in signing Marmoush as part of the club’s plan to salvage the season after a very miserable first half for Erling Haaland’s teammates.
Marmoush, 25, has made 24 appearances in all competitions, scoring 18 goals and providing 12 assists.
