A swap deal is currently being cooked up between Manchester United and Chelsea, although the idea seems difficult at first.
Chelsea are trying to sign Alejandro Garnacho after the Argentine’s transfer to Napoli failed, and there have actually been negotiations with United in the past few days in this regard.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United, on the other hand, has a great interest in signing Christopher Nkunku this winter.
In principle, the two clubs do not intend for it to be a swap deal in the usual way, i.e. player for player, but rather for each deal to be negotiated individually.
But in practice, the deal may be done in a swap deal even if it is announced otherwise, as some voices within the two clubs are rising to conclude the transfers in this manner.
Nkunku is seeking to leave Chelsea in light of his exit from coach Enzo Maresca’s calculations, and he actually had an agreement with Bayern Munich, had the Bavarian club not backed down due to the Blues’ high financial demands.
On the other hand, Garnacho welcomed the move to Napoli, but the agreement between the Italian club and the English club did not happen because the Red Devils wanted more than 50 million euros.
