Reports: Real Madrid Interested in Signing Liverpool Star, Player Open to Move

According to German newspaper “Bild”, Real Madrid are in contact with Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold to sign him, without specifying whether the deal will happen this summer or next summer.

The English right-back’s contract at Anfield runs until the summer of 2025, and Liverpool have not yet negotiated with him to extend the contract beyond that.

According to “Bild”, negotiations between Real Madrid and Alexander-Arnold have been ongoing for months, and are progressing very positively, which could end with the 25-year-old becoming a player in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

As for the English international, he is initially open to the idea of moving to Real Madrid, but it remains unknown what Liverpool’s position is on letting him leave this summer, or whether the Reds will try to renew their vice-captain’s contract in the coming months.

It is most likely that Real Madrid will wait until Alexander-Arnold’s contract expires next summer and then sign him for free, which will guarantee the player a higher income, as he will then receive a large signing bonus.

Real Madrid are looking to sign a right-back to replace Dani Carvajal in the future, especially as the Spaniard’s only current replacement is Lucas Vazquez, whose contract expires in the summer of 2025.
