Reports: The former Barcelona star is on the cusp of the Saudi League

Saudi media circulated news that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was close to joining Al-Shabab Club during the current summer Mercato.

This is not the first time that the Gabonese striker has received the attention of Saudi clubs, as the Roshen League tried to attract him in the summer of 2023, but the player chose to join Marseille.

But this time, a breakthrough occurred between the two parties, as Al-Shabab reached an almost final agreement with Aubameyang on all the details of his joining the Lions during the past few hours.

Al-Shabab’s inclusion of Aubameyang comes after coach Vitor Pereira’s decision to dispense with the services of striker Habib Diallo and his desire to sign a world-class striker like the former Barcelona star.

In this regard, it is noteworthy that reports from Europe suggested that the 34-year-old would continue with Marseille, especially since his contract with the French club is still extended for another two years.

The full vision is expected to become clear within the next few hours, although the closest thing currently is that the player will wear the Al-Shabab club shirt next season for two seasons with a salary of no less than 15 million euros annually.
