Reports: The overage trio in Egypt’s list for the 2024 Paris Olympics was revealed

The “Filgoal” website revealed the identity of the great trio closest to joining the Egyptian Olympic team for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Each team participating in the Olympics has the right to include three players over the age of 23, but clubs also have the right to refuse the participation of their players, considering that the competition is outside the FIFA agenda.

Egypt’s coach, Rogero Micale, wanted to include Mohamed Salah and Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, but Liverpool and Trabzonspor rejected the matter in form and substance.

The Brazilian’s vision was directed towards local players, but Al-Ahly and Pyramids refuse to give up any player who plays mainly because of the competition for the Egyptian League title between them.

According to the latest report, Al-Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy and Zamalek star Ahmed Sayed “Zizou” are currently the closest to joining the Olympic team at the Olympics.

Al-Ahly can replace El-Shenawy in the presence of young goalkeeper Mustafa Schubert, while Zamalek is not competing for the league title and will not mind its first star joining the national team during the Olympics.

The third name remains not agreed upon yet, but the closest is Pyramids player Mostafa Fathi, and there is an alternative plan for another name if his club refuses to give it up.

It remains to be noted that Egypt is in one group with the Dominican Republic, Spain, and Uzbekistan in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
