Reports: Zamalek decides to dismiss Gross and negotiates with his replacement

Egyptian press reports stated that the Zamalek administration decided to dismiss coach Christian Gross due to poor results and performance in the recent period.

Gross took over the training of Zamalek after Jose Gomez last December, and did not complete two months in his second term with the White Knight.

But so far, Gross has not succeeded in providing the expected technical addition, and it was said that a number of players complained about the way he managed training.

Hussein Labib’s administration decided to dismiss Gross after the match against Farco unless he finds something new, in which case they will have to pay 3 months as the value of the penalty clause in his contract.

The experienced Swiss coach receives $80,000 per month, meaning that Zamalek will have to pay about 12 million pounds as compensation for his dismissal.

According to reports, the Zamalek administration has already begun negotiating with foreign coaches to succeed Gross, and there is now talk about the presence of a Portuguese coach and another German at the top of the candidates for this task.

In his second term, Gross supervised Zamalek in 13 matches, winning 8 of them, drawing 3 times, and suffering two defeats from Pyramids and Modern Sport.
