Manchester City star Rodri underwent a successful surgery in Spain on Friday morning.
The Spanish star suffered a cruciate ligament injury during his participation in the City and Arsenal match in the Premier League last Sunday.
City previously said that Rodri would undergo further tests before an accurate diagnosis of his injury, which they described as a knee ligament injury.
According to the newspaper “AS”, Rodri underwent surgery on the cruciate ligament on Friday at the hands of Dr. Manuel Leis, the same one who treated Real Madrid stars Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao last year.
Due to the experience of this doctor, Rodri has placed great confidence in him to return to the stadiums and recover as quickly as possible.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has announced that Rodri’s season is over due to this injury.
According to AS, it cannot be confirmed that Rodri will not play at all this season, given the schedule extending until the end of June, whether in the European Nations League matches or the Club World Cup. If his recovery goes normally, he can participate again then.
