Journalist Rudy Galetti has revealed that Roma’s management still sees Al-Hilal star Saud Abdulhamid as the ideal reinforcement for the right-back position in this transfer window.
Abdulhamid’s contract with Al-Hilal ends at the end of next season, so it is expected that Al-Hilal will be more lenient about his departure this summer rather than letting him go for free in 2025.
According to the latest report, Roma is pushing hard to secure the signature of the 23-year-old, who has not yet made a decision about leaving Al-Hilal or staying with the Saudi league champions.
Roma is not the only club interested in signing Saud Abdulhamid, as the player is also attracting interest from English club Aston Villa and French club Toulouse.
Earlier, Saudi newspapers confirmed that Al-Hilal will not allow Saud Abdulhamid to leave and will do everything in their power to renew his contract for another five years.
It is worth noting that Saud Abdulhamid scored 4 goals and provided one assist last season with Al-Hilal, contributing to “The Blue Wave” winning the Saudi league, King’s Cup, and Super Cup.
