Ronaldo closes the door to his return to Sporting Lisbon

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, striker for Saudi club Al-Nasr, settled the controversy over the possibility of his return to his former club Sporting Lisbon, stressing that he is not thinking about this matter at all.

Ronaldo said in press statements: “I love watching Sporting matches, it is my team, but no, I have never thought about returning there because it makes no sense.”

He added: “I started my career in Portugal, not because I do not like Portuguese football, or because there is no quality, no. I just think that everything has its time and limits, so I have never thought about returning to Sporting.”

These statements by Ronaldo come to end speculation about the possibility of his return to the club where he began his football career, as he is currently focusing on his career with Saudi club Al-Nasr, and it is likely that he will renew his contract for another year with Al-Alamy.

Ronaldo participated in 31 matches with Sporting Lisbon, during which he scored 5 goals before joining Manchester United and becoming one of the most important football players in his history.
