Cristiano Ronaldo continued his leadership moments with Al-Nasr, this time during the “Al-Alami” match against Al-Khaleej in the Saudi King’s Cup semi-final.
Ronaldo scored the first goal for Al-Nasr in the 17th minute, before his team got a penalty kick in the 37th minute after a handball on the Gulf defender.
Usually, Ronaldo is the one who takes the penalty kicks as long as he is on the field, but “The Don” chose to give the shot to his colleague Sadio Mane in order to restore his confidence.
The Senegalese international had missed a penalty kick in the Al-Fayhaa match on April 19, which is why Ronaldo saw it as the right time to restore the player’s self-confidence again.
Mane lived up to his expectations, as he succeeded in scoring the kick and with it, Al-Nasr reached the final match and faced Al-Hilal.
It is noteworthy that Mane scored 18 goals this season, in addition to 9 assists, in 40 matches he played with “Fares Najd” during the current season in various competitions.
