Cristiano Ronaldo continued to set records when he scored a hat-trick with Al-Nassr against Al-Wahda, and he considered that he is not running to achieve history, but rather it is chasing him.
This hat-trick was Ronaldo’s sixth hat-trick with Al-Nassr since joining the Saudi club in January 2023, in addition to being the 66th in his career overall.
Thanks to the hat-trick, the 39-year-old reached goal No. 890 in his career, in addition to practically clinching the title of top scorer in the Saudi League this season by reaching goal No. 32.
“The Don” only needs two goals in order to become the player who scored the most goals in one season in the Saudi League and break the record recorded by Abdul Razzaq Hamdallah.
Despite all these historical numbers, Ronaldo does not care much about them, as he said, “The most important thing is that the team played well and we scored 6 goals.”
He also added, “Records? I don’t run after them. They follow me and come automatically.”
Regarding his approach to the goal of 900, he said, “It does not matter whether I reach it this season or the season before.”
It remains to be noted that Ronaldo has so far only achieved one unofficial championship with Al-Nassr, which is the Arab Club Championship.
The Portuguese will have the opportunity to achieve his first official title when Al-Nassr meets Al-Hilal in the King’s Cup final at the end of this month.
