The attacks on Cristiano Ronaldo by the Saudi media continue, with the latest coming from former Al-Shabab club president, Talal Al-Sheikh.
Al-Nassr lost the Saudi Super Cup to Al-Hilal 4-1, and then opened the league with a 1-1 draw against Al-Raed, increasing calls for the dismissal of coach Luis Castro.
Sheikh commented, saying, “Ronaldo doesn’t care much about Al-Nassr fans and the pressures they are suffering from after the team’s consecutive failures in recent times.”
He added, “Practically speaking, Ronaldo is the one running Al-Nassr, and he has a good relationship with Castro, so I don’t expect him to be sacked.”
He continued, “Ronaldo should have done what he could after losing the Super Cup, not opening a YouTube channel for himself.”
He concluded, “He has the right to do whatever he wants, but he should choose the right time. By doing what he did, it shows that he doesn’t respect the feelings of Al-Nassr fans or even the Saudi fans.”
