Ronaldo leads Saudi League scorers with brace in Al-Khaleej (Video)

After a long wait, Cristiano Ronaldo returned to the top of the Saudi League scorers list 2025, after scoring a brace in Al-Nasr’s 3-1 victory over Al-Khaleej.

The Portuguese took the lead in the 65th minute with the first goal thanks to a very smart ground shot, but Al-Khaleej equalized and tied from a penalty kick in the 80th minute.

Sultan Al-Ghannam scored the second goal for Al-Nasr a minute later, before the Don secured victory for his team with a third goal after Haqawi broke away and passed to Ronaldo with the goal empty in the last minute.

Ronaldo raised his total goals this season with Al-Nasr in the Saudi League to 13 goals, surpassing Al-Hilal striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has 12 goals, and leading the competition’s scorers.

Overall, the 39-year-old has increased his total goal contributions with Al-Nassr this season to 20 goals in 21 matches in all competitions, scoring 17 goals and creating 3 others.

With this double, Ronaldo has reached goal number 918 in his career, 82 goals away from his most important goal currently, ending his career with 1000 official goals.

It is worth noting that Ronaldo’s total contributions in the last 92 matches he played with either Al-Nassr or Manchester United are 100 goals.
