Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Barcelona’s player Vitor Roque has rejected a new offer from Al-Hilal to join their ranks this summer.
Barcelona is looking to get rid of Roque after he failed to make any significant contribution in his 6 months at Camp Nou, and the player has not yet convinced coach Hansi Flick.
Al-Hilal had previously made an offer to sign Roque last week, but the Brazilian’s response was a rejection and an insistence on either staying at Barcelona or moving to another European club.
According to Romano, Al-Hilal has renewed its attempt to sign the 19-year-old and submitted an improved offer in the past few hours.
For the second time, Roque has rejected the offer despite it being financially significant.
Because of this, Al-Hilal is turning to other options to strengthen the striker position, as the Saudi club is keen to sign a young player, and the closest option now is Aston Villa’s John Duran.
As for Roque, his future remains uncertain. The newspaper “Sport” stated that his 15-minute participation in the friendly Clasico is further confirmation from Flick of the need for his departure as soon as possible.
