The legend Mohamed Salah gave advice to the shining star Omar Marmoush and to the Egyptian fans in general to support the Eintracht Frankfurt player.
Marmoush contributed 24 goals with his German club in all tournaments this season, and his transfer to a giant European club is a matter of time.
Salah, given the historical experience he has in European stadiums, was asked about Marmoush, during his presence at the Sharjah Book Fair on Sunday.
The Egyptian legend responded to that by saying, “Marmoush faced difficult circumstances until he reached what he is now. He is a very good player and important for his team and for the Egyptian national team as well.”
He also added, “All I want from him and the Egyptian fans is to stay away from comparisons. He should not be compared to me.”
He continued, “Comparisons will put him under great pressure and that should not happen. It is illogical to compare a successful player for years with another who is still at the beginning of his career.”
He concluded, “Talk that Marmoush is the new Salah will not help him and will always put him under pressure. Marmoush must live his own experience and do something different from me in the direction he sees fit for him.”
It is worth noting that Marmoush, in every press interview, emphasizes the extent of his appreciation and pride in Salah and his advice, and always stresses that he is his role model in the world of football.
