The Egyptian international said about his ambition to win the Golden Ball, “For me, I am the best player in the world now, it is difficult for people because each one has his own preference, but in my mind I always see myself as the best.”
He also added, “Maybe I feel that I am at the peak of confidence now and it is due to the good work that the team is doing as a whole, I order it to continue like this until the end.”
As for his role model in football, Salah answered, “Ronaldo Nazario is my idol, I can also say Zinedine Zidane and Totti, but Ronaldo is always in the forefront for me, he was an exceptional player.”
Salah chose Vinicius Junior to win the Best Award in 2024, and explained the reasons for his choice, the Egyptian said, “I gave him my vote because he is, the best in the world last year, he deserves the award and he is improving every year and I wish him continuity.”
He concluded by praising his coach Arne Slot: “When he came to Liverpool I didn’t expect him to be this good, but once we started working, I wasn’t surprised by his quality. He is great at the small details and has no arrogance when he makes mistakes, and he is bad at match tactics.”
