Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool player, stressed that Jurgen Klopp’s decision to leave coaching the Reds will not affect his future at Anfield.
The Egyptian star told how he learned of the news of Klopp’s departure from coaching Liverpool, saying, “We had an early meeting, which was suspicious, and then I saw Klopp’s agent and thought he had renewed his contract.”
He also added, “After that, Van Dijk told me that Klopp would leave coaching Liverpool. All I said was why? I did not understand the decision at the time.”
Salah made controversial statements when asked about his future, as he said, “No, Klopp’s departure will not affect my future.”
He concluded, “But one day I will leave Liverpool, but Klopp’s story will not affect me.”
Salah’s opening of the door to the possibility of his departure coincides with news from Saudi newspapers about a huge offer on the way for the 31-year-old from one of the Roshen League clubs.
The offer includes an amount exceeding 150 million euros for Liverpool, who most likely will not mind selling Salah at that time, given his age and the upcoming financial benefit.
