Salah sets two tough conditions to continue with Liverpool

Salah

Mohamed Salah’s priority remains to renew his contract with Liverpool, but he insists on two conditions in particular in order to sign contracts that will keep him at Anfield beyond the summer of 2025.

Although Salah appeared to the media and said that this is his last season with Liverpool due to the lack of negotiations with him from the Reds’ management so far, he is still interested in continuing with the English club.

What are Salah’s conditions for renewing with Liverpool?

According to the “Football Insider” network, the 32-year-old has set two conditions for renewing with Liverpool, the first of which is to sign a 3-year contract that will keep him with the Reds until he turns 35.

This condition is a real crisis for Liverpool’s management policy, as the English club prefers to renew for a year or two at most for any player over 30 years old.

Salah believes that he can give with Liverpool with the same strength even when he reaches the age of 35, in light of his exceptional physical condition that keeps him young and does not care about the changes of time, which is also something that the club’s management is aware of, but has not yet made a decision in this regard.

The second condition, which is the most difficult, is that he continues to receive a huge salary, the value of which has not been disclosed.

Salah’s current salary with Liverpool

It is noteworthy that Salah receives a weekly salary with Liverpool of up to 400 thousand pounds, making him one of the highest paid players in the English Premier League.

Liverpool’s management tends to reduce Salah’s salary due to his advanced age, but the player is armed with his level and numbers, and the presence of large offers for him inside and outside Europe with a salary that exceeds his current salary on Merseyside.

Liverpool is not worried about Salah’s departure

Despite the presence of strong Saudi offers for Salah, which are said to exceed 100 million annually, Liverpool’s management is not worried about negotiating with the Egyptian star, and believes that he wants to continue with the club.

This is the main reason why negotiations between the two parties have not yet begun, so there is no need to panic or rush the matter, especially since the player also understands the current situation in Liverpool after the departure of Jurgen Klopp and the appointment of Arne Slot as his successor.

Clubs interested in signing Salah

It remains to be noted that the Saudi League clubs, specifically Al-Ittihad, have a great desire to sign Salah after trying in the last two summers, but now the situation is different with Liverpool not being in the negotiations.

Spanish media had previously indicated that Barcelona may be interested in signing Salah on a free transfer, and it was also said that Paris Saint-Germain is looking at the Egyptian international as the next star in the Parc des Princes stadium to fill the void left by Kylian Mbappe.

Other press reports stated that the American club San Diego, owned by Egyptian businessman Yassin Mansour, will also seek to sign Salah with a constellation of Premier League stars, led by Kevin De Bruyne.
