Mohamed Salah continued his favorite hobby of scoring goals for Liverpool at Anfield, leading the Reds to a 2-0 victory over Brentford in the second round of the Premier League.
Luis Diaz scored the first goal for Liverpool in the first half, before the “Egyptian King” added the second goal in the 70th minute to secure the three points for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
This was the first match for the Dutch coach in the Anfield dugout, and his second overall with Liverpool after a 2-0 win in the first round against Ipswich Town.
For Salah, this was his second goal this season, in addition to the assist in the Ipswich Town match, bringing his total goal contributions to 3.
At the same time, this goal was his 128th goal contribution in 128 matches he played with Liverpool at Anfield since his arrival at the club in the summer of 2017.
The 32-year-old Salah has scored 93 goals at Anfield, in addition to creating 35 others in 128 matches at the Reds’ historic stadium.
Liverpool’s next task under the leadership of Salah will be a difficult one, when the team visits their arch-rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford next Sunday.
