Mohamed Salah confirmed that Liverpool officials have not yet spoken to him about renewing his contract, which is why he considers this to be his last year with the Reds.
The Egyptian star’s statements came after he led Liverpool to a 3-0 victory over Manchester United, in a match in which he scored a goal and made two assists.
Salah told the media, “The summer was good for me, I had a long time to stay with myself and try to think positively because as you know this is my last year at Liverpool.”
He added, “I just want to enjoy this year, I don’t want to think about leaving or staying, but I feel free to play football and we will see what happens next year.”
He concluded, “I entered the United match saying that it might be my last here, the club has not spoken to me yet, so I am now playing my last season with Liverpool and we will see at the end of the season.”
