Liverpool star Mohamed Salah confirmed that he is only focused on winning the English Premier League and the Champions League and does not pay much attention to individual awards such as the Golden Ball.
The Egyptian international is currently considered by most analysts to be the favorite to win the Golden Ball after contributing to 51 goals with Liverpool this season.
Liverpool coach Arne Slot had considered that winning the Premier League or the Champions League would be enough for Salah to win the award.
In turn, Salah was asked about this matter, to which he replied, “I would like to win everything, but first let’s focus on winning the English Premier League and the Champions League, then we will see.”
He also added, “Everyone knows that the Golden Ball award involves other things, but the goal is only to win the English Premier League, the Champions League and the Golden Boot.”
Salah tops the Premier League scorers list with 25 goals, and he is also the top scorer in the five major leagues, and therefore he is the leader of the Golden Boot so far.
Liverpool are a distant third in the Premier League table, ahead of Arsenal, and face a tough Champions League last-16 tie against Paris Saint-Germain.
The Reds will play Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley in mid-March, having been knocked out of the FA Cup by Plymouth.
