Sancho to Rashford: Congratulations on your freedom from United hell!

Jadon Sancho has caused a stir after a short message he wrote to Marcus Rashford congratulating him on his escape from Manchester United hell.

Sancho, who is on loan from United to Chelsea, has suffered a similar situation to Rashford in recent months, which led to his departure to Aston Villa on loan last January.

Rashford made his Villa debut as a substitute in the team’s win over Tottenham in the fourth round of the FA Cup. Sancho responded to a series of photos posted by Rashford on social media with just one message: “Freedom”.

This message was seen as a sign that Rashford had finally won his freedom, like Sancho, from the hell of the bench and the pressures of Manchester United.

A wave of criticism was launched against Sancho for this comment, after United fans saw it as an unacceptable disrespect to the Red Devils.

Sancho was loaned to Borussia Dortmund last season following his disagreements with coach Erik ten Hag, then left in the summer to Chelsea on loan again with the right to buy next summer.
