Second after Zizo, Egypt confirms the absence of a new star from the France match

The Egyptian Football Association has announced the absence of Ahmed Eid from the semi-final match against France at the Paris 2024 Olympics due to injury.

According to the statement, the right-back underwent a medical examination after the Paraguay match and was confirmed to have a hamstring tear.

The former Zamalek player will most likely miss the rest of the Olympics, as he will not participate in either the final or the third-place match.

Coach Rogerio Micale will turn to Mohamed Tarek as a replacement for Ahmed Eid, who played as a substitute in the center-back position in the match against Spain.

In general, the Brazilian coach called up Mohamed Hamdy from the reserve list instead of Eid, knowing that the Enppi player is left-footed and plays in the left-back position.

Eid’s absence will be the second blow to Egypt before the France match, as Ahmed Sayed Zizo will also be absent due to an injury he sustained in the Paraguay match.
