Shock: Paris Saint-Germain star injured his cruciate ligament!
Paris Saint-Germain suffered a major shock, after it became certain that Lucas Hernandez suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
The French defender was unable to complete the match against Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final after he was injured in the final minutes of the first half.
According to Le Parisien newspaper, the initial diagnosis of Hernandez’s injury is a cruciate ligament tear, which will leave him out of action until the beginning of 2025.
This is the second time in Hernandez’s career that he has suffered a cruciate ligament injury, after it happened with the France national team in the 2022 World Cup.
In general, the 28-year-old’s injury history is bad. Two years ago, he suffered a torn internal ligament that kept him out of action for more than 170 days.
It is noteworthy that Lucas Hernandez moved to PSG last summer from Bayern Munich for 45 million euros.
