Shocking.. Barcelona lost the Olmo registration case!

The “El Periodico” network considered that the Barcelona administration’s resort to the Spanish Supreme Sports Council to register Dani Olmo is a waste of time and will not be of any use.

After La Liga rejected Olmo’s request, Barcelona now has the option of resorting to the Supreme Sports Council or the court as the last resort to keep the Spanish player at Camp Nou.

But according to the network, all indications confirm that the Supreme Sports Council will reject Barcelona’s request to register Olmo, and will support La Liga and the Spanish Federation in their decision.

This comes for several reasons, the most prominent of which is Barcelona’s contradiction, as the contract concluded between the club and Olmo includes a clause that allows him to leave if he is not registered before December 31.

In light of this clause, the Supreme Sports Council will respond by saying, “How can you file a complaint with us if you yourself anticipated this scenario and previously agreed to grant the player the freedom to leave?”

At the same time, the council could end the case with another logical statement, which is to confirm that the case falls within the jurisdiction of La Liga and the Spanish Federation, and that the previous decision was based on their internal regulations.

The report added that there is another factor that makes it likely that Barça will lose the Olmo case, which is that the president of the Supreme Sports Council is a Real Madrid fan, and will want to distance himself from this case in any way possible.

The Spanish network advised, quoting a lawyer, that Barcelona should look for a new club for Olmo to obtain his services until the end of the season, and then return to the Blaugrana starting next season.
