Real Madrid captain Nacho’s transfer to Al-Ittihad appears to be on the verge of collapse, despite earlier assurances that the two parties had reached an agreement on all the details.
So far, Nacho has not given Real Madrid’s management his final decision regarding whether to approve the offer to renew his contract or leave for free, and news emerged that Al-Ittihad was close to including the Spanish defender.
But as journalists such as Fabrizio Romano have confirmed, Nacho has not yet given Al-Ittihad the green light to complete the deal.
Although Romano was the one who published that Nacho was close to joining Al-Ittihad, he came back and confirmed that there was no agreement between the two parties and that the deal might collapse.
As for journalist Matteo Moretto, he said that “the deal is far from Al-Ittihad” and that everything that has been promoted in the past hours about an agreement is completely false.
Some media outlets predicted that Nacho might actually move to the Saudi League, but to a club other than Al-Ittihad, and most of the talk is about Al-Nassr, which has shown interest in including the 34-year-old in recent days.
The series about the future of the Real Madrid captain is supposed to end next week, whether with his announcement of his renewal with Real Madrid or his decision to leave the Santiago Bernabeu for a club outside Europe.
