Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone continued his accusations that Real Madrid benefit from refereeing, and stunned Carlo Ancelotti and Dani Ceballos after their recent response to him.
The Argentine coach previously said that watching 100 years of Real Madrid makes people not wonder how they win, referring to the refereeing compliments to them.
Ceballos responded to Simeone that he says this because he cannot forget Real winning the Champions League titles in 2014 and 2016, while Ancelotti said that these allegations are baseless.
Simeone was asked about the matter again before the Bayer Leverkusen match in the Champions League, and he replied by saying, “I do not like to talk about my colleagues.”
He added, “But I remember that Ancelotti, when he was coach of Bayern Munich, spoke strongly about what happened on the pitch when facing Real Madrid.”
“I also remember Ceballos’ statements when he was a Real Betis player, they are performing well and Real Madrid is a great team but when they were in another team their opinions were different,” he concluded.
