The German Sky network confirmed that the repeated news about Omar Marmoush’s transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt to Manchester City is not true.
The Egyptian newspaper “Youm7” had announced that Marmoush signed his transfer contracts to the English club on Friday in a deal estimated at 50 million euros.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, this news is baseless, and he indicated that there are no negotiations at the present time between Frankfurt and City.
Frankfurt has not yet received any official offer from City or anyone else regarding Marmoush, and the player himself has not informed the German club of his desire to leave this winter or about the existence of a serious offer from City for him.
The “Foot Mercato” network had claimed that City had submitted an official offer to Frankfurt, and also said that Marmoush is in contact with the English club and is very excited to have a new experience in the Premier League with Pep Guardiola’s squad.
But it seems that this news is inaccurate, and all indications confirm that City has not yet moved to buy Marmoush, who seems likely to continue in the Bundesliga until the end of the current season unless something new happens.
