Liverpool manager Arne Slot has confirmed that Luis Diaz will remain with the Reds next season despite all the rumors about interest from other clubs.
English media had reported that Diaz would be moving to Manchester City, while Spanish newspapers have constantly linked the Colombian with a move to Barcelona.
During the press conference before the Ipswich Town match, Slot ended this controversy by saying, “Luis Diaz’s future is with us. I’ve really liked what I’ve seen from him so far, he’s made a huge impression on me and I really like him.”
Regarding the future of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Alexander Arnold, all of whom have contracts ending in 2025, he replied, “This is not the right place to talk about contract renewals, but I can assure you that they are with us in tomorrow’s match squad.”
And about Liverpool’s signings this summer, Slot concluded, “Hughes (the sporting director) did his best to sign Zubimendi, the deal didn’t happen and now we’ll finish the season with the players we have. We have a good squad and we’re in a good position.”
