Liverpool coach Arne Slot mocked Manchester City’s recent crises, and the reason for that is Mohamed Salah.
The Egyptian star said in statements after the 2-0 victory over City that this match is likely his last against Pep Guardiola’s squad until the end of his contract with Liverpool.
When Slot was asked about those words, he responded sarcastically, “Maybe Salah knows more about the 115 charges against Manchester City.”
He also added, “So it seems that Salah expects that they will not be in the English Premier League next season!”
He concluded, “I’m just kidding.”
Manchester City faces the specter of relegation if the charges of evading the Financial Fair Play laws are proven, noting that the blue club has so far won a number of cases in this regard.
It remains to be noted that Salah is in negotiations with Liverpool to renew, but the difference so far is over the salary and the length of the contract, amid the interest of several European and outside European clubs to sign him.
