Liverpool manager Arne Slot has confirmed that Reds goalkeeper Alisson Becker could miss the Bournemouth match due to injury.
The Brazilian played in Milan’s last Champions League match, and according to Slot, he was injured.
The Dutch coach said in a press conference ahead of the Bournemouth match scheduled for Saturday, “Alisson is suffering from muscle pain, we don’t know if he will be able to make it to the match or not.”
He added, “He was suffering from the injury before the Milan match, but it got worse after the match, we will wait until tomorrow to decide his position for the Bournemouth match.”
If Alisson is confirmed to be absent, he will be replaced by reserve goalkeeper Kevin Kelleher, who has previously expressed his desire to leave Liverpool due to the lack of participation.
Alisson has managed to keep a clean sheet in three of the first four rounds of the Premier League, and conceded one goal in his team’s loss to Nottingham Forest last week at Anfield.
