Liverpool coach Arne Slot praised Mohamed Salah, considering that he is following in the footsteps of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo and will not be affected by his age.
The Dutch coach said when asked about Salah reaching the age of 32, “There is no reason to think that Salah’s level is declining.”
He also added, “Salah can do what Messi and Ronaldo did in terms of influence and age.”
He continued, “You can look at Salah’s numbers or look at him when he plays, he gives his best and is always decisive in most matches.”
He continued, “Some players are not good when they reach the age of 33, I was like that, but looking at Salah, it is the opposite, he is still able to give and be decisive.”
He concluded, “I do not know the future for sure, but Salah is in a very good place and has not been affected by his age.”
Slot’s statements may be a new confirmation that he wants to extend the Egyptian’s contract, which expires at the end of this season, amid reports of fabulous offers that have already reached him from Saudi Arabia.
