Spain national team coach Luis de la Fuente demanded that his team’s star Rodri win the Ballon d’Or immediately, and considered him more deserving of the most important individual award in the world than any other player in the world.
Rodri has already won the Best Player award at Euro 2024 after he participated in all but one of Spain’s matches, and played 45 minutes in the final against England before leaving injured.
De Fuente expressed his astonishment at the level of the Manchester City star when he said, “Please give Rodri the Ballon d’Or immediately.”
For his part, Rodri also demanded that one of the Spain national team players win the Golden Ball after the amazing performances shown by all the “La Roja” players in Euro 2024.
Rodri said, “I want a Spanish player to win it. I heard them say that Carvajal also deserves it and I agree with that. I am really proud of what I did.”
All media outlets indicate that Vinicius Junior is the most likely candidate for the 2024 Ballon d’Or, but in recent days Rodri has entered the line with full force.
