The Spanish national team will lose the services of its player Ayoze Perez in the match against England in the Euro 2024 final due to a recent injury.
According to “Sport” newspaper, the Real Betis player was unable to participate in Spain’s last training session before the final and is suffering from muscle pain due to stress.
Thus, 30-year-old Perez will become the second absence of “La Roja” in the final, alongside the other injured Pedri Gonzalez.
Perez’s absence will not be a major blow to Spain, as he is one of the substitutes in Luis de la Fuente’s squad, as he only played 12 minutes during Euro 2024, which was in the Italy match in the group stage.
It is noteworthy that Spain restored the services of the duo Lou Normand and Dani Carvajal after they were absent from the semi-final match against France due to suspension.
