Barcelona’s official account on X posted the team list that will play against Athletic Bilbao in the second round of the Spanish league on Saturday.
The list included the name of Barcelona’s only summer signing, Dani Olmo, but with a “star” above it.
The Catalan club is still facing a real crisis in registering Olmo on its list due to Financial Fair Play rules, and for this reason, the participation of the Spanish international against Bilbao remains uncertain.
For this reason, those in charge of Barca’s account put a star on Olmo’s name, indicating the possibility of his registration failing again and thus his absence from the Bilbao match.
Because of this, ridicule of Barcelona exploded on social media, as Barca needs to sell 4 of its players in order to register one player, revealing the extent of the crisis suffered by Joan Laporta’s administration.
Barcelona is currently working on loaning Clement Lenglet to Atletico Madrid, selling Marc Cucurella to Rennes, and loaning Vitor Roque to Real Betis.
