Surprise.. Will Cristiano Ronaldo move to Manchester City?

Legend Cristiano Ronaldo sparked controversy by hinting at a possible move to Manchester City in the upcoming winter transfer window.

Manchester City has been suffering from a recent results crisis, having achieved only one win in the last 13 matches, in addition to suffering from offensive failure and severe criticism of Erling Haaland.

Ronaldo was asked about City’s condition during his participation in the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony, and he replied at the time by saying, “Teams go through difficult periods and good periods… City are going through a difficult period, but I am 100% sure that they will return.”

The 39-year-old praised City coach Pep Guardiola by saying, “Guardiola is a very smart coach. He knows where the problem comes from. They will be there as they always have been.”

The moment of controversy came when Ronaldo was asked about the possibility of moving to Manchester City despite being one of the sons of eternal rival Manchester United.

The Al-Nassr star responded at the time by saying, “You never know what will happen.”

Many newspapers translated these statements as Ronaldo flirting with Pep Guardiola to sign him in January and help City get back on the right track.

Ronaldo was close to moving to Manchester City in 2021, but Manchester United intervened and convinced him to return to Old Trafford thanks to a call from Sir Alex Ferguson at the time.

The Don’s contract with Al-Nassr still extends until the end of the current season, and from City’s side, there have been no speculations about a possible deal, and all that is currently being said are just rumors due to the words of the Portuguese star.
