Manchester United coach, Erik ten Hag, responded to the statements of the legend Cristiano Ronaldo against him, that the latter is very far from Manchester and is currently playing in Saudi Arabia.
Ronaldo had said that Ten Hag’s talk about United not being able to achieve the English Premier League or the Champions League is not appropriate for a club the size of United, and that he and his team must fight to win all the titles.
When Ten Hag was asked about his opinion on this matter, he replied, “If you read what he said in full, you will find that he is the one who said that Manchester United cannot win the Premier League.”
He also added, “Ronaldo is very far in Saudi Arabia, he is very far from Manchester, but everyone has their opinion, there is no problem with that.”
As for the criticism that United receives in general this season, Ten Hag said, “We will do everything we can to win every game and we will see where we will be in the end in May.”
He concluded, “We are still in a transitional phase, but there are no excuses, we have to win every game, I know that very well.”
It remains to be noted that Manchester United opened their season with a win over Fulham, then lost to Brighton 2-1 away, and hosted Liverpool at Old Trafford and suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat before the international break.
