Player agent, Wael Al-Kharbatawi, revealed that former Zamalek player Benjamin Acheampong is now living a rich and happy life thanks to the fines he receives from the Egyptian club.
Acheampong filed more than one lawsuit against Zamalek in “FIFA” and won all of them regarding his late dues after his contract was unilaterally terminated during the term of former president Mortada Mansour.
The Ghanaian player’s profits exceeded one million dollars from Zamalek, and he is waiting for the club to pay $185,000 in the coming period, otherwise registration will be suspended again.
Al-Kharbatawi, who worked as Acheampong’s agent, said, “Zamalek promised the player’s lawyer that he would pay the last installment more than once, but it did not happen, so FIFA was resorted to, and now the player has a decision, pay or registration will be suspended.”
He added, “Acheampong is now living like Haroun al-Rashid thanks to Zamalek’s money. He moves between countries, owns an academy in Ghana, and travels from time to time to his wife in Germany.” He concluded, “Acheampong knows very well that he will get his money from Zamalek, and he has no intention of negotiating the final installment.”
