The draw for the 2024-2025 English Premier League competition was held on Tuesday evening, and resulted in a fiery summit that will be held in the first round scheduled for next August 18.
Manchester City is the holder of the Premier League title in the last 4 editions, and will open its campaign with a tense confrontation against Chelsea, armed with its Italian coach, Enzo Maresca, who previously worked at City as Pep Guardiola’s assistant.
On the other hand, Liverpool will open their campaign against newly promoted Ipswich Town, while Arsenal will face Wolverhampton, while Manchester United will play against Fulham.
Manchester United will meet Liverpool at Old Trafford on August 31, while the London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham will take place the following week.
The ninth round will witness a summit between Arsenal and Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium, then Manchester United and Chelsea will meet in the ninth round, while the other London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea will be played in the tenth week.
Manchester City will meet Liverpool in round 13 on November 30, while the Manchester derby will be held in round 16 on December 14.
