The Clubs Association Revokes a Major Decision Against Al Ahly Regarding Withdrawal from the Summit

A new episode in the crisis surrounding the recent summit match between Al Ahly and Zamalek, and this time the champion is the Professional Clubs Association.

The association had previously announced that Al Ahly had lost the summit match 3-0 due to the withdrawal, with an additional three points deducted, and that the Red Devils would bear the commercial losses.

The Olympic Committee supported the Clubs Association’s decision after Al Ahly’s complaint, but on Sunday, the association issued a statement that was, to say the least, highly controversial.

The association officially announced the amendment to the sanctions, specifically the cancellation of the three-point deduction from Al Ahly, which sparked widespread anger among Zamalek fans and the Pyramids FC management.

Pyramids FC was not involved in the crisis, but, as a top-flight contender, it refused to accept the idea of not deducting the three points from Al Ahly, as stipulated in the regulations.

The Blue Devils and Zamalek responded to the decision by announcing that they would take all necessary official steps against the decision, including escalating the matter to FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

It is worth noting that Pyramids FC has 43 points at the top of the league, while Al Ahly, after the summit crisis (and before the points deduction), has 39 points in second place, and finally Zamalek is in third place with 35 points.
