The Euro 2024 star announces his desire to join Barcelona

Napoli star Stanislav Lobotka announced that he dreams of joining Barcelona during the current summer Mercato, indicating that he is ready to take the next step in his career now.

The Spanish media had previously confirmed that the Slovakian star had an agreement with Barcelona and that he would join this summer, but the departure of Xavi Hernandez from coaching the Blaugrana changed everything.

Lobotka spoke to the newspapers after the match between England and Slovakia in Euro 2024 about his future and said, “I am now in Naples, my family is there, I have a contract, and I would like to play for a big club.”

When asked about the possibility of joining Barcelona, he answered in clear terms and said, “If an offer comes to me from there, I will go immediately.”

He concluded, “Barcelona has been my favorite team since childhood. I have been following them since Deco and Ronaldinho were there.”

Lobotka performed at very distinguished levels in Euro 2024, almost crowning it with a historic achievement by eliminating England from the round of 16 in Euro 2024, but the “Three Lions” succeeded in surviving thanks to goals from Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane.

The Slovakian player’s contract is still extended in Naples until the summer of 2027, which makes Barcelona or any other club have to negotiate with the Italian club to obtain the services of the 29-year-old.
