Stanislav Lobotka, the Napoli player, announced through his agent that he is in intense negotiations with Barcelona in order to move to the Catalan club next summer.
Lobotka’s contract with Napoli is still extended until the summer of 2027, but his agent did not hide his desire to leave for a big club next summer to compete for titles.
“We talked about a possible transfer with Barcelona sporting director Deco after the Napoli match in the Champions League,” Branislav Jarosic said in an interview with the media.
He also added, “Barcelona wants him, but there are many things that must happen first for the deal to be completed.”
He concluded, “Lobotka is almost 30 years old, and he does not have many years left as a professional. He wants to play for a club that is fighting to win the Champions League.”
It is noteworthy that Xavi Hernandez announced earlier that he is a great fan of Lobotka, but the Catalan coach will leave at the end of this season, which means that he will not be involved in planning the team for next season.
