Al-Riyadiah newspaper revealed that the Disciplinary Committee of the Saudi Football Federation decided to open an urgent investigation into the incident of Cristiano Ronaldo’s actions in the Al-Nasr and Al-Shabab match.
Ronaldo celebrated inappropriately after Anderson Talisca’s decisive goal in the match. After the match, he committed another disgraceful act against the Al-Shabab fans in response to their chant of “Messi.”
According to the latest report, the Disciplinary Committee is currently studying all the circulated videos of Ronaldo from the match in preparation for taking a step against the Portuguese star.
This investigation is scheduled to take a maximum of 48 hours. After that, a penalty will be issued if Ronaldo is proven guilty.
The newspaper indicates that the initial decision so far is to suspend Ronaldo for two matches and impose a large financial fine on him.
If the penalty is confirmed, This will mean that he will miss the Al-Hazm and Al-Raed matches. He will return in the upcoming El Clasico against Al-Ahly.
It is noteworthy that this is not the first time that Ronaldo has performed controversial behavior against the fans. He did the same thing against Al Hilal in the Riyadh Season Cup.
