The summer transfer market has seen many crazy moments this year, and the latest is what happened with the future of Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo.
The French player had completed a deal with Juventus weeks ago, but his path changed after a sudden entry from West Ham into the deal.
The English club managed to reach an agreement with Nice to pay 40 million euros to sign Todibo, who in turn changed his previous decision and decided to move to the Premier League.
The biggest beneficiary of this move is Barcelona, as the Catalan club owns 20% of Todibo’s resale.
Barcelona will reap 8 million euros from Todibo’s transfer to Nice, and thus can somehow improve its economic situation in the face of Financial Fair Play.
Despite the money, Barcelona will still need to sell at least one player to be able to register Dani Olmo or any other summer signing in their squad.
